MyGeotab Rule not working as expected

I am setting up a rule with the following conditions: Speed > 50 km/h AND Status Data Diagnostic 'Total Time Under Braking' > 5s, but it is not returning any results.

What could be causing this? Do I need to enable a specific setting or request access to this data? If so, should I reach out to Geotab Support or my Fleet Administrator?

Note: The AI support provided general information about harsh braking (G-forces), but did not clarify the specific use of the 'Total Time Under Braking' diagnostic.

It is most likely this isnt data we get from the vehicles in your fleet. I would check the measurements for your vehicles and see if you are getting any data for the measurements you are trying to add to the rule.

Is there any chance that these conditions are just not being met by the vehicles? I could be wrong, but it seems that a vehicle would have to both be traveling above 50 km/h and have the brakes on for more than 5 seconds to trigger it. That would be hard to accomplish unless you're barely touching the brakes over that period (which is perhaps what the rule is meant to notify you of).

Do you know that there are instances where vehicles in your data are using their brakes for that period while still being above 50 km/h?

That's true! You're absolutely right, I hadn't considered that. The idea was for the rule to avoid noise, but I think it would be better to relax the time condition to 1 or 2 seconds. However, if it still doesn't register any events even then, how could I resolve it?

I think that is the problem.
