When will Geotab Custom properties be available in all reports?

I would like to utilize the Geotab Custom Properties in reports other than a Device Report. It would be useful for them to be available in a Trips Detail report. Is there any timeline on when this functionality will be added?

They could utilize the same header name that we could add to the data tab.

[CustomProperty].<NameOfCustomProperty>

Hey @ssartor-1546 ,

Thanks for bringing this up in the community. I know a few customers have been asking about this and we have had some discussions internally around this. Let me talk to our team and see what I can find.

I will let you know what I hear as soon as I do.

Have a good one!

Hey @ssartor-1546 sorry for the delay with this. So I did talk to the team about this and they are wondering what kind of reports and use case you could share for the custom properties for other reports?

Hi @EishiFUN ,

I know there have been several times where it would have made things easier in our custom reports. One recent example is a utilization report that I built using a trips history report. The fleet that uses it has vehicles in multiple timezones. The issue is that the trip times will be off for vehicles outside of your timezone. i.e. I'm set to EST so it looks like vehicles in CDT are starting their shift an hour earlier.

I have figured out some ways to account for this, but it would make it much easier if I could just have an additional property included in the Trips Detail report. I know I've run into several other similar uses in the past. Having the ability to add these additional properties to reports like the Trips Detail gives a lot more flexibitily with what we're able to do with custom reporting.

Thanks! I will pass this along to the team and let you know what I hear about this.
