Geotab NFC going offline and online hundreds of times

Has anyone else experienced this issue with their IOX-NFC readers where the reader is going online and offline hundreds of times per day. This looks like a recent issue and it causes the driver reminders to constantly go off and the NFC fobs do not work.

Below is the NFC device connected measurement over the last 2 days.

Hi @HLui-1390 ,

We have a similar issue. We logged a service request and it would seem that there is a known issue. Might be an idea to check the firmware version of your devices.

This was the response from the support team: "The repeated audio alarm was caused by a known issue affecting FW version 45.33, which triggered constant IOX-NFC resets."

They rolled-back the FW on all our devices back to version 45.32

Hope this helps.

Hello @HLui-1390 ,

Thank you for asking your question in our community. he first thing I would look into is the install. Give it a good unplug and plug back in and make sure that connection is secure and there is no damage done to it.

Let me know how that goes or if you have already done that.

Have a good one!

Hello @EishiFUN

yes we did the unplug and plug back in and the issue persisted. We had to literally replace the go device in order to fix the issue. Its also strange that the NFC started disconnecting on the listed vehicles on the same day or near it. That seems to point to a software issue instead of hardware.

That is strange. I wonder if it is an issue with the firmware. I did not see any reports of a widespread issue like this. If you have not already it may be worth creating a support ticket so we can look into it a little more and see whats going on.
