Hi again @ssdwy-1025 !
As expected, we do not have a way to turn off the post-DVIR requirement because it is typically required by law. However, what you are describing - missing pre-trip DVIR rule being triggered by the post-trip DVIR log should not be happening. This rule is not triggered by post-DVIRs, it's triggered by vehicle movement and driver. Therefore, if you believe that the post-trip DVIR is somehow triggering this rule, please create a support ticket so we can further investigate.
If you need help creating a ticket, or have any other questions - please just let me know?
Best, Genevieve
Hi @ssdwy-1025 ,
Thanks for asking the Geotab Community! I do not believe that the post-trip DVIR can be "turned off"; but let me double-check with the ELD to verify this.
I do know it can be skipped. According to the article How do you skip a DVIR inspection, it is upon the user's discretion to perform or skip an inspection. The DVIR inspection can be skipped by selecting Skip.
I will get back to you with a definitive answer tomorrow.
Warm Regards,
Genevieve
