Add-ins are used to add new functionality to the MyGeotab portal that may not be available by default. You can use add-ins to add new pages with custom interface to the MyGeotab portal, add new buttons to existing pages, or embed other website pages within MyGeotab to limit the need for multiple portal usage for customers.
Add-ins are added directly into MyGeotab through the web portal
- The add-in section can be accessed by going to Administration -> System -> System Settings, then by clicking on the Add-Ins tab.
- A new add-in can be added by clicking on “New Add-In.”
- The add-in can be seen in the left menu bar where applied.
Add-ins might be used for:
- Overlaying real time traffic cameras.
- Custom reports added with an interactive chart.
- Accident recreation with lead-up causes.
- Determining vehicle health and engine code monitoring for maintenance and preventative purposes.
- Using a rewind tool where users can select a date/time to see where any vehicle was exactly at that moment.
- Creating a heat map of where drivers travel to during work hours. The heat map can be used to see an overlay of the most commonly visited locations of a driver and can be helpful for analyzing driver behavior.
- Replaying a vehicle's past trips on a map. The History Report is capable of finding the speed, address, latitude, and longitude where a vehicle has been for a repeated period between times.
