We are encountering a conflict about which port to use for our Telematics, and for future reporting of CTC testing. Paccar and Freightliners are requiring us to use the RP1226 and are demanding we remove telematics from the OBD port due to conflicts being caused (several have been encountered). However, we cannot use RP1226 for California CTC. Please provide guidance.

Hello @NCamp-1556 ,

Thank you for asking your question in our community. There should be no issues with using our device in this port, we have thousands of vehicles using this port today. If you are running into any issues I would suggest making a support ticket for us to thoroughly investigate it. The issues could be due to other third party devices installed in the vehicle or other outside factors. Also I don't believe the OEM can mandate using the RP1226 port. The reason why being outlines in this document: Geotab OBD FAQ [PUBLIC]
