How in MyGeotab do I resolve when someone else drives my truck?

For context, I don't work for a trucking company, but we have a box truck we use to send finished goods to our second shop in another state.

I am the only driver for the truck, but sometimes someone else might repark the truck to load/unload it.

The problem is that when that happens, it gets logged as me driving it, (even though it never left our property,) which then is considered the start of my day, two hours before I even get to work. This eats up my driving hours, and at the end of my day I suddenly find that I'm in violation when I should be able to drive for another two hours.

How do I fix my log so that someone else driving the truck doesn't count as part of my driving?

Hello @CChil-2123 ,

Thank you for asking your question in our community. The best way to avoid situations like this to make sure you log out of Geotab Drive when you are finished working for the day. This will disassociate you with the vehicle and any driving done in the vehicle will not go onto your logs.

The following should not be taken as legal advice please use caution when editing HOS logs as they are a legal document. Please refer to your local FMCSA for guidance.

When this happens you really only have 2 options within MyGeotab. You can either assign these logs to the correct driver or you can ignore the logs explaining what happened. Here is a quick guide on ignoring logs: Ignore Feature User Guide V.1.0
