GPS jamming and signal interference

A GO device can detect and log GPS and cellular signal jamming events in MyGeotab.

GPS jamming is interference that targets GPS signals. Cellular jamming is interference with cellular communication. It can be caused by nearby police radios or by the position of a cell tower.

The GO device detects and logs both types of jamming. To find these events, see Viewing GPSJAM debug logs.

Important: A GPSJammingDetected log entry does not always mean that jamming is happening. Context from Geotab analysis may be needed to interpret the results. Contact Geotab Support if you need help.
