Unit no longer showing in GEOTAB

Good morning. 

I have a GEOTAB device that is pulling up blank when I search for it. I tried driver name, unit number and GEOTAB serial number but nothing comes up. It had been reporting recently but now nothing. Doesn't even show as offline, just blank as if it was never installed.

 

Update .... There is another unit that has now disappeared from our GEOTAB site. I was looking at it earlier today but now, it too has disappeared.

Is there a glitch with the site?

Thank you for asking your question in our community. There are no known issues like this I have heard of recently. There are a few things I would do to investigate this. The first is to go into the audit log by searching for the audit log in the search bar at the top of the lefthand menu. Depending on how big your database is this could be challenging since the audit log will only show 500 items at a time. If you can search back a few weeks and still have 500 items then I would just ctrl+f the serial number of the device to see if you can find any changes made to the device. If you are getting 500 everyday or every couple days you may not be able to search back far enough with that method to work well. In that case you can choose some filter options for audit types and select all of them that have something to do with device. This will help narrow down the search and then you can search for the serial number.

 

if you dont find any here then I would think it may be in a group you dont have access to and in that case you would not be able to see it. If you are an admin with access to the whole database then this would not be it.

@MRigg-8184​ I would also ask your reseller if it got regrouped some how, and may sit outside your clearance or groups in your user profile.
