Does MyGeoTab have the option to enable multi-factor or 2-factor authentication for user logins. Our company is bringing in a company wide requirement to only allow access to apps via MFA.

Hey @MSome-1820​  I am sorry to hear you have been finding the support process unclear. I am happy to assist you with this though, so you have come to the right place. Were you able to get your resellers contact info from your database by going Getting Started & Help > Support... > Contact Information? This should get you a number to call and email for your reseller who you have support through. I did find an email address for your reseller but not a phone number ( I didnt know your database so I couldn't look there) : helpdesk@securatrak.com.au

 

There should be a phone number in the contact info part of your database if you prefer to give them a call.

 

I did find a ticket you had with our support team earlier today and they said basically what Joy said as well but if you have more questions about it please let me know

Hey, @MSome-1820​!

 

Geotab doesn't currently have 2FA options that I am aware of; however, it does have functionality that allows SSO certificates to be provided and used for single company sign-on.

 

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but hopefully it will at least give you a starting point. @EishiFUN​ may be able to connect you with someone else at Geotab who can elaborate more on upcoming 2FA options that may be in the works or already implemented that I'm not aware of.

Do you know how I can contact @Eishi FUN, the GeoTab support process is unclear.

Hey, Mike!

 

I am a freelance Geotab consultant and not a member of the Geotab Support team. Eishi will reach out when he is available, as he's the one who coordinates stuff within the Geotab Community.

 

In case it helps you out in explaining the process better, support with Geotab varies by company. Often your Geotab reseller may be your best resource for support. (Some resellers have been in business for over a decade and have support people who know just as much or more than Geotab support agents. Others, not so much. It really just depends on who your reseller is.) Whatever the case, you should be able to find your main support channel by navigating in MyGeotab to Getting Started & Help > Support... > Contact Information.

 

And, of course, if Eishi is reading this later and able to bring in some extra help from an expert at Geotab, this can be a very good reference using the Geotab Community--it's just not got eyes on it 24/7 from actual Support people and may take a little extra time to get you the answer.
