Truck not showing in Geotab drive app

New customer installing geotab relay in tractors and truck is not populating on tablet to perform a pre-trip , is there a setting that needs to be turned on?

Thank you for asking your question in our community. There are a couple of possibilities with this issue. I would make sure the device is installed and communicating well to start off. You will want to verify in the MyGeotab database that you can see the vehicle on the map in its live location. Then when you are in the Geotab drive app if the vehicle does not pop up I would try typing in the name or the serial number to see if you then get it to pop up. Typically the issue is going to be one of these things:

 

  1. The device is not working properly and needs troubleshooting
  2. You do not have access to the device due to database access settings
  3. The device has not been added to your MyGeotab database yet
  4. HOS settings are turned off for the vehicle

 

So I would make sure you have good access to the device and verify it has been added. Then I would make sure the device has HOS turned on or set to automatic. You can use this guide for that: How to turn on/off Hours of Service (HOS) for a device?
