I have media recording enabled via a reverse rule for the Go Focus Plus cameras. Is it possible to change the video duration? I've noticed that the maximum recording time is 10 seconds, even if the event lasts longer. I want the recording to capture the entire duration of the event.

Hello @anthonymendoza , Thank you for asking your question in our community. I did not find a documented way to do this anywhere. I could see there being a good usecase for this functionality. As we are continuing to improve and work on this product I would encourage you to give us feedback about this so our product team knows this is something our customers are asking for. The best way to give feedback would be using the form at the bottom of this page. This will go directly to our Go Focus team to be added into their development process. Let us know if you have any other questions. We are here to help! Have a good one! Eishi FUN

If you could get it to turn on then we could just get it in the cloud the standard way. If it cant turn on at all but the SD card in undamaged it cannot just be removed and plugged into a computer due to its encryption. I was thinking about it but couldn't confirm if maybe you could take out the SD and put it in a different working camera and see if you can get it to upload to the cloud. I would try that at your own risk. I havent heard if that has been successful or recommended. Maybe I shouldn't even mention that 😆 If you have a case where the camera is damaged and really need the footage I have seen cases where customers have sent the camera to our office in Oakville for us to investigate it and work on a possible data retrieval. So if you have a case this I think your best bet at first would be to talk to support and work with them to see what the best route to go is.

Geotab told us that this feature is specific to the Go Focus because it helps improve driver detection. This is normal, and there isn't a setting to change it. Best regards.

Inverting colors in GO Focus

Currently, GO Focus videos are downloaded in two separate files (one for video and one for audio). Geotab plans to implement an option in the future to choose whether you want the files separate or combined, although there's no set date for this update yet.

Why do Go Focus video download with the audio separate?

Hello @User-10763 , Thank you for asking your question in our community. I am sorry to hear you have been running into this issue! I will be happy to help you troubleshoot this. The "high volume of failed video upload" message on the Cameras page is typically a connectivity issue. The GO Focus camera uses its own built-in SIM card for cellular connectivity and uploads footage directly to the cloud. When the vehicle is operating in areas with poor or no cellular signal, uploads will fail and this health status will appear. To answer your specific questions: Will re-calibration help? No — calibration on GO Focus cameras is for the ADAS sensors (accelerometer), not related to video upload connectivity. Re-calibrating won't resolve upload failures. Is it only because of cell coverage? Cellular signal is the most common cause, but it's also worth checking that the camera is powered on and healthy — check the camera's LED status and look for any engine faults in the database that might be affecting power to the device. Will the videos eventually upload? Yes. The camera stores footage locally on its SD card when connectivity is unavailable and will automatically upload it once it returns to an area with sufficient cellular signal. So the footage is not lost — it just needs connectivity to sync. If the camera continues to show failures even in areas with good signal, that would be worth opening a support ticket to investigate further, as it may indicate a deeper issue with the device. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions — we are here to help. Have a great day! Eishi FUN
