If the IOX-GO TALK language change isn't sticking when you edit a single asset, it may be related to an issue we've identified with that save path. For now, try changing the language through bulk edit, selecting only the affected asset. Then reopen the asset to check that the new language was saved. We have a fix moving through deployment, but I don't have a confirmed rollout date. If bulk edit doesn't work either, please let us know and we can investigate further. Hope that helps! Eishi FUN

If you could get it to turn on then we could just get it in the cloud the standard way. If it cant turn on at all but the SD card in undamaged it cannot just be removed and plugged into a computer due to its encryption. I was thinking about it but couldn't confirm if maybe you could take out the SD and put it in a different working camera and see if you can get it to upload to the cloud. I would try that at your own risk. I havent heard if that has been successful or recommended. Maybe I shouldn't even mention that 😆 If you have a case where the camera is damaged and really need the footage I have seen cases where customers have sent the camera to our office in Oakville for us to investigate it and work on a possible data retrieval. So if you have a case this I think your best bet at first would be to talk to support and work with them to see what the best route to go is.

I found this information online: If you've lost access to the email address linked to your MyGeotab Administrator account, you won't be able to use the “Forgot my password” option. However, there are three main ways to regain access to your platform: 1. Ask another administrator at your company (the fastest option) If there's another person at your company with an administrator role in MyGeotab, that person can reset your credentials directly: They should go to People > Users and Drivers. Search for your user, edit the profile, and update the email address to one you have access to, or assign a new password. 2. Contact your Geotab Partner or Authorized Reseller: If you are the sole database administrator, there is no one internally who can edit your profile. In this case: You must contact the distributor or provider (Partner/Reseller) who sold you the Geotab service or devices. They have access via MyAdmin (the global partner platform) to manage users in your database and reset your access credentials. 3. Direct Support from Geotab: If you don't know who your reseller is or are unable to contact them: You can contact Geotab's support center directly through its official support website. To verify your identity and company ownership, they will ask for specific information such as the exact name of your database, your company name, and likely the numbers of

update the firmware on an iox GO talk

Hi Cristian, good morning In my experience, I've installed several firmware updates, and the only one that fixed the “GPS” issue is the BETA version. You could try this version, or maybe the stable version works on some devices. Best regards.

Which is the most stable firmware version at the moment?

Hi yes, my question is, for example, if I have a truck with a Go device installed and I tow a box with a Flex device, is there a way for their shared trip data to be linked?

Is there any tool where you can link vehicles with GO devices to trailers with third-party devices?

how a driver is associated with a trip through gofocus

Hi thanks for your comments. The issue we have is that when we installed a camera, it already appeared associated, so since we have several databases, we would look for it in myadmin and disassociate it.

Is there any way to identify the GoFocus cameras already installed?

Hello, I've noticed that on newly installed devices, when checking their communication in MyAdmin, no GPS communication is shown, even though a coordinate record exists in the database. I want to know if there's a point in time when this data disappears from MyAdmin, as I generate queries based on it.

Is there an estimated time frame after which GPS data will no longer be reflected in MyAdmin?

Hello, I have a GO device on a Pro Live plan. Can you help me by providing the warranty periods for the different plans?

What is the warranty period for a GO device that is on a Pro Mode: Live plan?

It's not possible to select specific days of the week directly in the standard automation settings. To do this, you need to customize the Excel report template (like the Trip Summary) using formulas to filter only Saturdays and Sundays, and then upload that custom template to MyGeotab for scheduled sending.

The Geotab NFC reader is set by default to be "locked," which means it will only recognize Geotab NFC keys registered in its database. This prevents accidental reading of other NFC tags, like employee access cards.

How do I configure the Iox NFC so that it only detects keys registered in the database?

To fix the issue with the black square that says "video not available," make sure of the following: 1. Go to Rules and Groups > Rules, click the pencil icon on your rule, and check on the Media Upload tab that the media type is set to Video. 2. Make sure the camera is on and has cellular connection at the time of the event so it can upload the clip. 3. If you use Surfsight cameras, check in the Surfsight add-in that the specific rule is enabled to trigger video events.

Go focus plus - video unavailable

Hi, I think the most convenient thing is to create a case by sending evidence

Inverting colors in GO Focus

The GO device's accelerometer does provide information for Hard Events (harsh driving), but its availability depends on the service plan: • Base plan: Accelerometer data is not available for harsh driving exception rules. In this plan, the device mainly uses GPS data for tracking and speed. Although the accelerometer detects movement to wake up the device, it doesn't send detailed G-force records to the server. • Pro and ProPlus plans: These are the only plans that support full accelerometer features, including detecting harsh braking, acceleration, and sharp turns. If your client needs to monitor Hard Events, they'll need to upgrade the service plan to Pro or ProPlus.

How are harsh events measured in Base Mode?

This alert mainly appears under the following circumstances: • Poor cell coverage: The device can't send data to the server due to a lack of signal in the area. • GPS interference: The vehicle is in a tunnel, underground garage, or surrounded by tall buildings. • Local network issues: Your internet connection or browser is slow when loading live data.

Weak Signal Alert

Hi, @CesarOrtiz-1781 I understand that only GO devices can be shared from one database to another. Cameras can only communicate within one database. But it would be a really good option if they enabled this functionality.

Extendable services for GO Focus Plus

There isn't a single link that compares all the datasets, since availability varies depending on the model and plan. However, the main technical differences are: • Data frequency: GO9 devices use a curve algorithm to capture precise real-time data. OEM devices usually send data at fixed intervals (e.g., every 30 seconds), which can miss critical details. • Accident reconstruction: The GO9 offers high-fidelity data for reconstructing accidents, a feature that is usually limited or unavailable in OEM integrations. • Expandability: Only the GO9 allows connecting IOX accessories like NFC readers, cameras, or additional sensors. • ELD compliance: The GO9 is a full ELD solution; some OEM integrations may have data gaps that affect regulatory compliance.

The status of devices in MyGeotab reports is mainly calculated based on the Last Communication Date. Here are the key details about how it works: • Status calculation: A device shows as "OK" if it has communicated within the last 24 hours. If it hasn't communicated for a full day, the system marks it as disconnected. • Failure codes: There is a specific failure called "Telematics device failure: the telematics device has disconnected," which records the exact timestamp of the disconnection. You can see it under Maintenance > Diagnostics > Failures. • Relation to movement: The device usually communicates when it detects ignition or movement. If the vehicle hasn't moved in over 24 hours and there are no heartbeat events, it will appear as disconnected, even if there is no technical problem. • Visual indicators: In the Watchdog report, devices are highlighted in orange after 3-21 days without connection and in red.

Hi, on several occasions when changing the language of iox go talk it doesn't stick, is there any immediate way to do it?

@sjohnson-6023 Hi, you can also request the report in Geotab ICE with the required data

MyGeotab Speed Report

hi To see speeding at a specific time and place, follow these steps: 1. Go to Map or Productivity > Trip History. 2. Select the vehicle and the time period. 3. Select the trip and use your mouse to follow the route on the map; there you can see the speeds recorded at each point.

hi Geotab devices don't natively send TAIP messages. To integrate them into a computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system, you need to use middleware: 1. Pull the positions from the Geotab cloud using the Data Feed API (the 'GetFeed' method for 'LogRecord'). 2. Convert that data to the TAIP format in your middleware. 3. Send the converted messages to the CAD system.

Dispatch MyGeotab Integration

hi To customize inspections and add items with checkboxes, you can use Defect Lists in MyGeotab: 1. Go to Maintenance > Asset Inspection. 2. Select Defect Lists and click Add. 3. Define the vehicle parts and specific defects (like load levels). 4. In the Drive app, the driver will be able to select these items during their inspection.

@EishiFUN Is there any procedure that should be followed?

Hi Regarding the rules you mention, yes, we depend on the behavior of the accelerometer, but I suggest that when setting up the rules, you take into consideration the thresholds they offer you for each type of vehicle.

How do you reduce false positives when creating custom rules in MyGeotab?

Yes, it is possible to create a custom rule in MyGeotab using engine diagnostics, as long as the vehicle provides that specific data (like the status of the lights) through the diagnostic port. To set it up, follow these steps: 1. Go to Rules & Groups > Rules. 2. Click Add. 3. In the Conditions tab, select Engine Data > Measurement or Data. 4. Look for the diagnostic related to the lights (for example, "Brake Lights" or "Headlights"). 5. Set the condition (for example, "Equal to 0" for off) and click Add. 6. In the Notifications tab, set up who should receive the alert. If the vehicle doesn't send this data natively, it might require using an IOX-AUXM auxiliary harness.
