Hello, In the assets section, there is a subsection that displays the total number of assets that are not communicating. As for creating a notification or alert to detect when a GO device stops communicating, I am not sure if that is possible.

Is it possible to create a notification when a GO device loses communication?

Hello. If it is possible to connect the GO device in the bus, I recommend using the following harness: HRN-CW03K3 3-wire harness for GO devices – PWR, GND, IGN.

We are developing an internal integration using the MyGeotab SDK and need to programmatically fetch video clips captured by our Geotab GO Focus Plus cameras.In the MyGeotab web portal, we can see the camera clips perfectly under the Video &gt; Events page. On the API side, we are successfully using GetFeed on the ExceptionEvent endpoint to capture the telematics events, but these event payloads do not contain any video links or camera metadata. Furthermore, querying the MediaFile endpoint always returns zero records.Our Questions for the SDK Support Team:What is the correct API endpoint or workflow to retrieve video clips or video URLs for the GO Focus Plus camera?If these video events are not exposed through the standard Geotab JSON-RPC SDK, what is the recommended way for a developer to programmatically access this footage?Thank you for your guidance.

Does anyone else have an easy way of getting the lat/longs from each step along the Leg of a GetDirections api call? It's useful to see the turn by turn directions, but it's limits its use when you can't see where those turns will be. Does anyone have any other ways of solving this?

Hello guys, we are using ignition on/off data from the Advanced Engine Status Report for calculations of engine hours per each day. The column/header support document does state that location data is not available for this type of report. How can we somehow get this data instead of downloading trips report separately. The customer would like a unified report which she is currently getting from the competitor's platform:assetdateengine hours per dayfirst location of the daylast location of the day Thank you for insights!

Hi Team,We pull data for our fleet via the API. We call teh various api endpoints on a daily basis and ask for the last 48 hours of data, so every day there is an overlap of 24 hours in case any data is missed.Even doing that though, often we find that if we go back at month end and pull the whole month we fill in gaps with missing data. What's the best method of pulling the data from the geotab datasets to avoid this? We pull a lot of different callsevents, trips, odometers, engine hours, log status, etc etc. Would really appreciate knowing how we can pull the data using a reported date instead of the event date so we know we've got everything, thanks

Hi everyone,In Wialon, it is possible to convert a route directly into a geofence (zone), which is very useful because you don't have to recreate the entire area manually.Is there a similar feature available in MyGeotab?For example, if I already have a route, can I convert it into a zone/geofence automatically, or is the only option to create the zone manually by adding each point one by one?I'm looking for the most efficient way to create a geofence that follows an existing route.Thanks in advance!

The Location is updating correctly, but the Odometer hasnt been updated in 97 days. I have taken out the geotab, put it back in and it works, but the odometer is not updating.

I've recently modified a report template and tried to upload it as a new report but I keep hitting the error message "The report template must be saved using Microsoft Excel".The template is definitely in .xlsx format (I've saved using both MS Excel online and also in Libre Office -&gt; Save as .xlsx) so I'm wondering if there is some way of getting further information into the problem with my template e.g. can you point me at the validator you are using?I've previously has no problems modifying templates and uploading like this so any help would be gratefully received.Many thanks

With a lot of the documentation on the MyAdmin API being updated to V3, is there also a plan to update the runner and the Using With JavaScript downloads to be more V3 compliant?  This would allow testing pagination and other new features V3 is intended to provide.  Is there any possibility of having an API client similar to the Geotab JavaScript client (https://github.com/Geotab/mg-api-js) created for the MyAdmin APIs? While I know the possible usage scope is a little different, and working on my own MyAdmin API class is likely a time sink that I would be interested in undertaking. Something more official in the long term would be nice

Hello, I am working on an integration project which requires to sync Drivers from one site to myGeotab. I've added various DriverChange events of DriverChangeType "Driver" to link a driver to an asset (device).  Though DriverChange events appear to cause the DeviceStatusInfo table to be updated with the Device and Driver relationship. Furthermore I am trying to 1) Update driver company groups on a daily basis, and 2) delete drivers if needed. For either case, a relation violation exception is thrown. More specifically when I attempt to delete the driver, I get a message which clearly states the problem "update or delete on table users violates foreign key constraint  fk_devicestatusinfo_driver on table devicestatusinfo". My question is, programatically, how do I know what the violation is? For example, when I try to remove Groups and there is a group relation violation, usually the exception also points at what type of violation it is under the results.error.data object (devices, users, drivers, zones, etc). In the case of the DeviceStatus relation exception I only get data  : @{id=1b885735-5892-4f4c-a99d-f0a0caa67570; type=RelationViolatedException; requestIndex=0}, so not sure how to know what the violation is.

DriverChange and DeviceStatusInfo relationship in MyGeotab API

Hey, Everybody! I'm working on building new logos for a couple of custom add-ins for when MyGeotab officially switches over to the new UI. I'm familiar with this document:New Designs Specifications for MyGeotab Add-In Icons I'm pretty decent with Photoshop and I have Adobe Illustrator for this project (although I'm a little bit of a n00b with the latter); I'm just not really sure how to get it so that my designs match the specs required here.  When I try to design at only 24 pixels, everything is fuzzy, even when I have it so that my design is snap-to-grid. So, anyway, I think I'm missing something here. Admittedly, I'm quite a bit of a newbie when it comes to logo-design stuff. Has anyone already built one of these?  If so, would you be able/willing to share how to take an existing .ai file and make it match the required specs?  Alternatively, just knowing the general formatting anyone else has used would certainly help me out a lot here. Thanks in advance for your help!  :) Best,Joy @FleetNavSystems-1081

I see only old dataset (2002 to 2013), extracted from TRIP API. Can anyone help me to understand how Geotab API data works and how can I get the latest data.

how do I filter Trip API data to get latest data from MyGeotab

We were notified by a customer a few days ago that they were experiencing some issues with our Geotab integration, and after some investigation, we determined that Rule Notification web requests started coming in with the "text/plain" Content-Type header, instead of "application/x-www-url-formencoded" as they usually do. This caused cascading failures for many of our customer integrations and required us to override the Content-Type header in API forwarding middleware wherever possible. The only event we've noticed that seems to correlate to that change is a database update from 11333.561 to 11333.585. The update was completed ~90 seconds after our telemetry indicates that the first webhook failures started. Is this an intentional change to the Content-Type header of notification web requests in a recent update, or should we be reporting this as a bug? I've tried to find release notes or other documentation specific to database version 11333.561 (or any database version, for that matter) but could only find info for general MyGeotab releases.

Hey Everybody, I'm using a MyPreview database to test some new functionality and I'm wondering what the Linked assets button is for.
