Where can an integrator for load weights write the weights automatically to through the API? Is it best to the measurements under engine info, is that possible?

Is it best to report the measurements to the measurement section under engine info, is that possible? Or perhaps a better place to write that data to for reporting purposes?

I wouldn't try to "hack" it by pushing weight readings into a DVIR log... There is no means of you pushing data from the cloud into something that would be linked to your Go device and would logically represent weight readings. The add-in is the easy solution for sure.

@ScJohnsonisEnVue-1052, depends on which level the integrator is working. The best integration would connect locally to the scale and the Go device using IOX-CAN or IOX-RS232. The scale would need to implement the IOX protocol, and they could push StatusData in Geotab through that. StatusData appears in the Engine & Device => Measurements page just like odometer, engine speed, etc. In theory when doing a new integration like this, the integrator would request new diagnostics to be created from Geotab, but in this case several weight diagnostics exist already and could be re-used for this.

If your integrator is trying to bring data in from their cloud infrastructure however, it's not going to work. You cannot push data into Geotab from the MyGeotab API. This is to ensure data integrity, there is no method of adding GPS, accelerator or diagnostic data that is not directly coming from the Go device or from a connected IOX. To achieve integration in this manner, the data needs to be stored on the partner's infrastructure and they could write an add-in to gather and report on this data.

@LPPapillon-1145  They are cloud-based, so unless they create their own add in it is not possible? Anywhere in the DVIR or mobile app that can be captured outside of manually on the DVIR list? Can they write to that, say after DVIR is complete or even prior to the driver certifying? Do you perhaps know if LoadMaxx is doing it via your first part of the answer, the client checked out LoadMaxx and they were quite pricey, as they really don't need load weight consistently or shown to the driver just at departure from their depot to their stores.
