Thank you for asking your question in our community. This fault is very normal on new devices. The production firmware, X.0.X will cause this to be reported. This does not affect communication for new devices. We shouldn't need to manually update the firmware either when we see this log on new devices, there is already a firmware update pending which will resolve this.

I'm having the same problem, but the box has been in this state for 72 hours and won't retrieve the update. In addition, the box beeps every 60 seconds and flashes red. Do you have a solution?

@Théo Bape You're going to want to raise a case with Geotab Support for this issue. There's a known issue with certain firmwares that prevent them from doing their initial update and Geotab needs to do something on the back end to get them to do the firmware update.
