Why has Geotab removed the odometer reading from the detected fuel ups for any truck that has an older ECM?Prior to March 2026, this feature was working and we used it regularly, to accurately keep track of our fuel usage, mileage and costs. It is a discouraging development and we hope it gets reversed.

I have a construction company that has contractors working on and off every month, an example, they work 2 days for my client and then they do another job for another client 1 day and then back for my client. The goal is to record only the data they work and for them to be able to turn off data capturing when they are not working for the client. How can we some how turn off and on in MyGeotab and then a report is generated for the work hours they only did for the company, we want to make this as automated as possible.

Feature request: Template assets for streamlined fleet onboarding to MyGeotab

Good morning. I have a GEOTAB device that is pulling up blank when I search for it. I tried driver name, unit number and GEOTAB serial number but nothing comes up. It had been reporting recently but now nothing. Doesn't even show as offline, just blank as if it was never installed.  Update .... There is another unit that has now disappeared from our GEOTAB site. I was looking at it earlier today but now, it too has disappeared. Is there a glitch with the site?

In my database I have parameters for disable VIN and accelerometer reset, but I want to know which units have the parameter active.    

How can I get a list of devices with an active custom parameter?

We run, seasonally a large rental fleet, plus on occasion, have to sell or auction a unit so we remove the GEOTAB devices and intend to re-use them. We usually remove  them on the settings page but have difficulty re-using that device for another unit. What are we doing wrong. Is there a process for when removing a device from a unit and then later on, installing it in a new vehicle?
