"Pending changes for this device" What does MyGeotab mean by this?

Near about all of my vehicles have this on my Geotab Drive dashboard.

"There are pending changes for this device. Changes are applied when the ignition is off and the vehicle has been stationary long enough for the updates to complete."

I am not sure if this is the Geotab puck (unit), the Geotab program itself, or if it is the tablets that have been moved over to e2 that we need to verify all are working correctly on them.

I question what could be causing it because our trucks are shut down for a period of time that would enable an update to be completed, if I have the correct parameters for the program on each truck.

DETAILED DEVICE INFO

Firmware version: 0.27.49 parameter 8

Work time: Standard hours

Time zone: America/New_York

GO TALK language: English

Turn GPS receiver off: Immediately

Periodically wake GPS: On

Hours of service (HOS): Automatic

Enable USB data transfer: Off

Harsh brake delta speed: 11 mph

Turn external device off: 10 Minutes

Automatic vehicle management: Enable

Am I missing something obvious or do I need to escalate this?

Thank you in Advance!

Tracie

Hi Ms. Joy,

Thanks for the information. I have the same condition, but it happened when I just add a new device on myGeotab (I'm not doing any changes). Normally, how long will these messages disappear? Because these messages cause me not to be able to see my vehicle on Maps of myGeotab.

Hey, @FarinDNugraha-1640!

These messages shouldn't affect whether you see your vehicles on the map or not. I would recommend that you turn your vehicle on and off a couple of times, and maybe drive it around a bit (10-ish minutes) in an area with good cell coverage if it's a new GO9 installation.

Hope this helps. :)

Best,
