DVIR missed inspection rule and report issue

I've set up the missed asset inspection rule and a report but I have noticed a strange quirk involving shared vehicles. We have some crew trucks that work on construction sites, they need to be moved around by different drivers. If a driver B who is different from the original driver A who completed the DVIR the missed asset inspection rule is triggered and it flags Driver B as having missed an inspection. Is there anyway we can make it so that as long as an inspection was done for the vehicle it won't flag any missed inspections until the next work day?

Hello @HLui-1390​ ,

 

Thank you for asking your question in our community. My first thought would be to play around with the duration. Since the standard rule is set at 8 hours and is really the only thing that makes sense to change. I am not 100% how this would work but it is worth messing around with. I will look into it more and see if I can find any cases where someone solved something similar and let you know what I find.

I looked at that setting but apparently the duration only works with the original driver who did the initial DVIR, once another member of the crew starts driving the shared vehicle it treats it as a brand new exception and flags a missed inspection even if there was already an inspection done.

So I looked into it a bit more and it seems like this is a known limitation of the rule. I know there is work being done to see how we can manage this but I didnt not find any exact items I could point to on the roadmap to give you any kind of timeline.
