Assigning vehicles

Assigning drivers to vehicles helps you track how productive your drivers are and seamlessly manage your resources.

You can assign drivers to vehicles on the Assets page and using the Map feature. For completed trips, you can assign drivers using the Trips History page.

Assigning drivers to vehicles using the Assets page

Learn how to assign drivers to vehicles using the Assets page in order to manage your resources effectively.

  1. Navigate to the Assets page in the main menu.
  2. Select the asset you want to assign a driver to by clicking the asset name.
  3. On the Operations card, select a driver using the Driver dropdown list.

  4. Click Save changes.
A green banner at the top of the page shows that your request was successful.

Assigning drivers to vehicles using the Map feature

Learn how to assign drivers to vehicles using the Map feature in order to manage your resources effectively.

  1. Navigate to the Map in the main menu.
  2. Select the vehicle you want to assign a driver to by clicking the vehicle icon on the map. You can also select it in the vehicle list.
  3. Click Assign driver under the Driver heading.
  4. Select a driver from the dropdown list.

  5. Click Apply changes.
The new driver's information will display under the Driver heading. A green banner at the top of the page shows that your request was successful.

Assigning drivers to vehicles for completed trips

Learn how to assign a driver to a vehicle for a trip that has already been completed using the Trips History page.

  1. Navigate to Productivity > Trips History in the main menu.
  2. Find the trip you want to assign a driver to using the filters at the top of the page.
  3. Select the trip from the list, using the Expand trip icon to open a detailed view of the trip segments.

  4. Click the More actions icon on the trip segment you want to assign a driver to and select Assign driver.
  5. Select a driver from the dropdown list.

  6. Specify whether you are assigning the driver For all trips until changed or For this trip only using the Assign driver toggle.
  7. Click Apply changes.
A notification banner will indicate that your request has been queued for processing.
