Correcting an inverted IOX-AUX input value

Learn how to fix an IOX-AUX that reports ON as OFF or OFF as ON by inverting the input value in MyGeotab.

An IOX-AUX uses a self-learning algorithm to work out which state is ON and which is OFF. Calibration needs at least 3 ON-OFF changes. If the device calibrates incorrectly, it reports the states inverted.

  1. Navigate to Assets page in the main menu.
  2. Select the asset.
  3. Click the Settings tab.
  4. Under the auxiliary input that reports the wrong state, turn on Invert input value.
  5. Click Save.
The auxiliary state is now reported the right way round.
Note: Alternatively, power cycle the device so that it recalibrates. The auxiliary must change between ON and OFF at least 3 times during recalibration.
