Video playback

You can view video recordings for GO Focus Plus and GO Focus Pro cameras on the Video Events page.

Video recordings for Go Focus Plus and GO Focus Pro cameras are shown on the Video Events page. You can view them by navigating to Video > Video Events in the main menu.

Note: Video recordings for GO Focus and third-party cameras can be found on the Video Recordings page. See the Video recordings help article for more information.

You can also view video recordings on the Map and on the Trips History page.

Viewing live video recordings on the Map

Learn how to view live video recordings from your assets using the Map.

Note: Not all camera models support live video streaming. Check your product specifications to make sure it's supported by your camera model.
  1. Navigate to the Map in the main menu.
  2. Select the asset you want to view live video for from the map.
  3. Click Live video in the asset detail panel.
The live video feed opens directly in the asset detail panel.

Viewing video playback on the Trips History page

Learn how to view video recordings generated by exception events directly from the Trips History page.

  1. Navigate to Productivity > Trips History in the main menu.
  2. Select the relevant time period and assets for the recordings you want to view.
  3. Select your desired trip segments from the list.
    Once a segment has been selected, a detail window will open on the right side of the page. It shows the asset name, and lists any events for which recordings are available.
  4. Click the event you want to view from the list.
    The window automatically updates to show the video recording and event details.
Note: When the camera has recorded multiple instances of the same exception event, the instances are grouped together under a Collection heading. Click the heading to view a list of the exception events in that collection.

Requesting a custom video recording

Learn how to request custom video recordings directly from the Trips History feature using the Map.

  1. Navigate to Productivity > Trips History in the main menu.
  2. Select the relevant time period and assets for the video recording you want to view.
  3. Select the trip you want to view from the list.
    A window will open alongside the trips list to display the trip plotted on the Map.
  4. Click the portion of the trip you want to request custom video for.
  5. In the menu that opens, select Request video playback.
  6. Specify the recording start time and the recording length.
    Note: The recording length has a minimum length of 30 seconds and a maximum length of 4 minutes.
  7. Click Request.

The video will play directly in the window once the request has processed.

If the request is pending, click View all requests in Pending Video Requests to view the request status.

Downloading videos from MyGeotab

Learn how to download videos from MyGeotab directly to your device.

  1. Navigate to Video > Video Events in the main menu.
  2. Select the video you want to download.
  3. In the video playback panel, select the Download icon from the menu on the right.
  4. Select the data you want to download.
  5. Click Download.
You can find your video in your browser's download list, or in the downloads folder on your device.
