GO9B overview

Explore GO9B features for trips, driver alerts, and vehicle health.

The GO9B telematics device has 2 GB of storage memory to support higher volumes of data, over-the-air GPS updates, and upgraded battery sensors. It offers Cat M1 LTE connectivity for model GO9-LTMB and Cat 1 LTE connectivity for models GDSAA1 and GDSAA2. The device supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou, g-force monitoring, Geotab IOX expandability, and engine and battery health assessments.

Vehicle tracking

Using Geotab's patented tracking algorithm, the GO9B recreates vehicle trips and analyzes incidents. It offers in-vehicle alerts to notify drivers of infractions. With hardware Add-Ons, it can provide live coaching for a driver's on-road performance. The GO9B does not require a dash-mounted antenna or wire splicing.

Security

Geotab platform security is designed for end-to-end data protection.

  • GO devices and network interfaces use authentication, encryption, and message integrity verification.
  • GO devices are individualized. Each device uses a unique ID and non-static security key, making it difficult to fake a device's identity.
  • Over-the-air updates use digitally-signed firmware to verify that updates come from a trusted source.
  • Geotab uses independent third-party experts to validate the platform from end to end.
  • FIPS 140-3 Inside [#4875]. Used for performing cryptography upon device connection and firmware update.
