HOS status page
An overview of the HOS-related workflows on the Status page of Geotab Drive.
Tap HOS on the Dashboard and then choose the Status tab near the top of the HOS page.
On this tab, you can do the following HOS-related tasks:
Review your availability (remaining driving hours)
Change your duty status
View your cycle recap
View and apply exemptions
Change your selected ruleset/cycle
Reviewing your availability
How to review your availability in Geotab Drive.
- Tap HOS on the main dashboard and then choose the Status tab near the top of the HOS page.
- Your availability info is shown on the card, below your selected ruleset (for example, USA 60-hour/7-day as shown in the screenshot above).
The availability card warns you if you are in violation, at risk for violation, or have upcoming violations. If you're currently in violation, the app prompts you to create a log (if you forgot to go OFF duty, for example). Tap the banner to add a duty status log.

- Tap HOS on the main dashboard and then choose the Status tab near the top of the HOS page.
- Tap View cycle recap at the bottom left of the availability card.

Changing your ruleset
How to change your cycle/ruleset in Geotab Drive.
- Tap HOS on the main dashboard and then choose the Status tab near the top of the HOS page.
- Tap the pencil icon next to your currently active ruleset on the availability card (for example, USA 60-hour/7-day in the screenshot above).
- On the Change ruleset page, you will see a list of your recently used rulesets. You can tap Show all to see a list of all rulesets available to you. Tap the ruleset you want to use.
- Once you select a ruleset, you will be shown an Availability preview that shows your re-calculated availability for the new ruleset. Review it carefully and then tap Change ruleset to continue.
