Editing a log
How to edit an existing log in Geotab Drive.
- Tap HOS on the main dashboard and then choose the Logs tab near the top of the HOS page.
- Using the left/right arrows or the date picker, navigate to the day with the log you want to edit. Scroll down to see the list of logs for that day and then tap the log you want to edit.
- Tap the pencil icon next to any of the fields you want to edit. The fields that can be edited are Status, Date, Duration, and Annotation. You must specify an annotation for log edits. Note that exemption logs have limited editing options - for more information, see below.
- Once you've made all desired changes to the log, tap Save at the bottom of the screen.

How to edit exemption logs in Geotab Drive.
- Navigate to the YM/PC log you want to edit as described in steps 1 and 2 above.
- A banner appears at the top of the HOS Log page for YM/PC logs, indicating that editing options are limited. Tap Shorten or remove in the banner to edit the log.
- The Shorten or remove dialog appears. You can either Shorten the log by specifying a new End time (must be earlier than the log's current end time) or remove the log by tapping Remove.
- Tap Next.
- The Review changes page appears. On this page, the app will tell you if any driving activity was detected in the adjusted timeframe, and you can edit any status inside the adjusted timeframe by tapping the pencil icon.
- Either tap Confirm to finalize the edit, or tap the arrow at the top left of the screen to discard all changes and go back to the exemption log.
