Hey, @THust-1843!
I read the article provided above and didn't find it particularly useful to explain some common issues with odometer, so I wanted to provide you with more info:
If your devices are properly installed but you're seeing odometer differences between the vehicle's dashboard and what is being read off the engine, this difference is usually expected to be (I think) around 1 and 5%. This is because the dash odometer is based off of tire rotations whereas the engine odometer is pulling from somewhere else (GPS, maybe?...admittedly, I don't remember the exact source). Whatever the case, 1 to 5% doesn't sound like much until you're looking at OTR trucks that can have massive amounts of miles so that in 100,000 miles you could easily have a vehicle that is off by 1,000 miles.
Anyway, I hope this sheds some extra light on it in case this helps. In my own experience, as long as the GO device is properly installed and communicating it seems that the GPS distance is usually more reliable.
Hope this helps. :)
Best,
Joy B
