I have a construction company that has contractors working on and off every month, an example, they work 2 days for my client and then they do another job for another client 1 day and then back for my client.

 

The goal is to record only the data they work and for them to be able to turn off data capturing when they are not working for the client.

 

How can we some how turn off and on in MyGeotab and then a report is generated for the work hours they only did for the company, we want to make this as automated as possible.

Thank you for asking your question in our community. I think in this case they could use personal mode for the time you dont want to track and then turn it off once you want to start tracking. One more question, lets say we go for geotab drive personal mode, the driver during the month sets personal mode on and off, does that mean that the data for the month is only generated from the non-personal data capturing?

Yes that would be correct the monthly report wold only show driving that is done when personal mode is turned off. Any driving done with personal mode on is not sent to the database to be included in the report.

  1. I found this in the article, that should clear my previous question, "Reports do not include data from vehicles when in Personal Mode, which may lead to anomalous results"
