Conteiners are typically large trailers, and it's tricky to get access to a power source (when it's not attached to a truck), and the mounting can be a challenge.
The image below illustrates how containers are commonly stacked on top of each other, which can cause damage to a device placed on the outside of the container. Furthermore, placing a GPS device inside the container can have difficulty recording position data because it is enclosed in a "metal cage."

Digital Matter makes some good devices that could probably fit flush inside the grooves of the container. This could help prevent damage when stacking and still have a clear line of sight.
