For context, I don't work for a trucking company, but we have a box truck we use to send finished goods to our second shop in another state. I am the only driver for the truck, but sometimes someone else might repark the truck to load/unload it. The problem is that when that happens, it gets logged as me driving it, (even though it never left our property,) which then is considered the start of my day, two hours before I even get to work. This eats up my driving hours, and at the end of my day I suddenly find that I'm in violation when I should be able to drive for another two hours.  How do I fix my log so that someone else driving the truck doesn't count as part of my driving?

Can a driver verify their logs thru the desktop app?  Other than printing them out.

We have a fleet with local, regional and OTR vehicles.  For the vehicles that will remain local and under the 150 air mile rule, we are setting the HOS to off.  How does other fleets handle the 150 air mile rule set up?  The equipment may go past that only during our peak months.  Trying to cut down on the unassigned miles we have each day.  Thank you

Hello everyone, I've recently had an issue with a user. I've noticed that an event appears in the HOS logs as SA. I've searched the abbreviations in the user guide, and I didn't see anything related to that. (I'll add an image.)  Does this have to do with the roadside verification process from the Drive app?Is it the document shared with the DOT?Or is it part of some other configuration? At the same time, this appears in a one-day HOS log.Is this automatically deleted, or is it something the driver needs to do? I want to think it's "Shipment attached", but where does this come from?   Regards 😁

is there a way to receive a MyGeotab report when a driver is approaching HOS limits?

On our previous software, you just had to hover over the driver and it would give full details around the split sleeper: if it was an option, when the driver needed to go off duty and how much time would come back. Does Geotab have a similar feature? 

Is there a place within Geotab where my dispatchers can go to see if a driver is able to use the split sleeper option?

We are looking at possible solutions to keep our drivers from having their drive time tracked in an unregulated vehicle. We only need to keep track of their on duty and off duty statuses in unregulated vehicles and would like to keep the driver logged in to the vehicle to track who is driving which vehicle ( we also have some rules that track who is driving which vehicle as well). Currently, we have drivers logged into geotab in any company vehicle they drive, whether it is regulated or not, and this is causing issues with tracking their HOS when they switch to regulated vehicles. Any help is appreciated and thank you.

Has anyone found a way to not track drive time in an unregulated vehicle?

Driver forgets to disconnect from the truck they were in and later that evening someone else moves the truck on the yard putting the original driver on duty overnight. How can you clear out the 14-hour violations created? We have tried adding back in the lunch break and verifying the logs, but the violation still shows up on the report. Thanks.

Is there a report that shows trip history along with HOS status entries?  I need the GPS address, and I need to know if the driver was on duty or not
