I would like to utilize the Geotab Custom Properties in reports other than a Device Report. It would be useful for them to be available in a Trips Detail report. Is there any timeline on when this functionality will be added? They could utilize the same header name that we could add to the data tab. [CustomProperty].&lt;NameOfCustomProperty&gt;

I was curious if anyone knows why some functions in Excel will cause errors while others will not. For example on the report tab if you use the function CONCATENATE it works perfectly fine but if you use CONCAT the function will throw an error until you click the enable editing button when you first load the report.  It's not a problem if you are going to be opening the report, but if you have a graph or chart that relies on that data it will not load on the dashboard.  I'm pretty sure his has something to do with what version of Excel Geotab supports. CONCATENATE is a deprecated function that has been replaced by the newer CONCAT. I have a report that relies on the use of MAXIFS and MINIFS but until I load the report itself and enable editing I just see all NAME errors. If this is because of Geotab not supporting the newer Excel functions are there any plans to add them in the future? Thanks,

I was wondering if a custom device parameter exists that can disable the accelerometer on a device. A bad install is causing the accelerometer to go haywire and trigger several possible collision events. I was hoping there is a parameter that I can add to the device to disable the accelerometer until the device is reinstalled and secured. Several users are getting spammed with false alerts.

I am unable to delete a group because it has Add-in data associated with it:  The only info it gives is an add-in ID, but I don't see a way you can view which add-in its coming from. All I found was this article which just says its possible to remove this association using the SDK. I have never seen this before so I am wondering if this is something new with version 8.0.

Agreed. This would be the best way. I would also be weary of doing this, if you have a fleet of a significant size. You will almost certainty be getting an email every hour if you do. Instant&#x2F;frequent notifications should normally be reserved for critical or egregious behavior like possible collisions or speed &gt; Xmph. You don't want to overwhelm whomever has to keep up with the incoming emailed alerts.

The first one will determine how long the the vehicle needs to be shut off before a new request for driver identification is initiated. The second setting determines how long the vehicle will beep to request that the driver scans their fob.

I think you should be able to get this data using an exceptions report. You would need to build ignition on/off rules, but then an exception detail report should have the location when the ignition status changes.

Generally I've seen fleets have a couple of thresholds, e.g. Never more than 5km/h over the limit and never more than 120km/h. Then besides that you might use zones for a few outside cases like school zones or high risk areas. It might be worth looking to simplify your policy instead of trying to overcomplicate the rules inside of Geotab.
