When you add or edit an email recipient on a rule, MyGeotab now shows a notice if the address doesn't match an existing user account. The notice says that emails to that address won't include report attachments.

Why it matters

Email notification recipients on a rule can be people who aren't registered database users. They receive the notification, but attached reports are left out. Because the rule editor gave no sign of this, administrators often found out only when someone reported missing reports. The notice explains the behavior at setup time, which should reduce confusion and support requests about missing reports.

How it works

The notice is read-only and informational. It names the address and doesn't block or change anything about the recipient. The notification itself still sends as normal.

Availability

Rolling out in October.
