Effective communication is essential for maintaining a high-performing fleet. To help you stay ahead of platform updates, we are introducing new subscription options for maintenance notifications and service disruptions.

Tailored notifications for your team

Previously, maintenance and service alerts were tied to your designated support contacts. By separating these subscriptions, you can now ensure that operational alerts are sent to the specific team members who need them most without cluttering the inboxes of your technical support staff.

Direct management in MyGeotab

We have added dedicated toggles within the platform to make managing these preferences straightforward. You can now opt-in or opt-out of specific communication categories based on your role and responsibilities. This self-service approach removes the need to contact support to update your notification preferences, allowing for faster adjustments as your team's needs evolve.

You will find the following subscription options within your user settings:

  • Maintenance Notifications: Receive alerts regarding planned system maintenance and scheduled updates to help you plan your fleet operations accordingly.
  • Service Disruptions: Stay informed with real-time updates if the platform experiences unexpected service issues.
Availability

The rollout for these new subscription settings will begin in March, 2026. To update your preferences for a user, navigate to People > Users & Drivers > [Driver name] > System Communications. To update your own preferences, navigate to your Account > Profile > System Communications.
