We are proud to announce the general availability of the Next Gen GO device. Launched April 20 in the United States and Canada, the Next Gen GO is much more than a tracking device — it’s a powerful operational hub designed to meet the connectivity and security needs of modern fleets. Advanced visibility and control

The Next Gen GO elevates fleet management from passive tracking to active control. With a next-generation processor and integrated input/output (I/O) pins, the device can monitor complex vehicle states like power take-off (PTO), driver seatbelt and more. I/O states can automatically map to named MyGeotab diagnostics at install, eliminating any manual configuration. It also serves as a control hub, capable of executing remote tasks such as vehicle immobilization directly from your MyGeotab dashboard if unauthorized use is detected.

Active asset protection

To help mitigate risk and deter theft, we’ve introduced an energy reserve. This acts as a digital tripwire: if the device is tampered with or loses power, it instantly sends a final notification and location. This provides fleet managers with the critical head start needed to recover an asset.

Native Bluetooth

The Next Gen GO features native Bluetooth® connectivity, allowing it to function as a wireless gateway for your entire operation. It can automatically pair with and track the location of small assets using beacons, making it easier than ever to expand your visibility without adding complex wiring or extra hardware accessories.

Future-ready and expandable

Equipped with a high-speed 4G LTE modem, the Next Gen GO is fully video-ready for our GO Focus family of cameras. It remains compatible with our existing ecosystem of IOX expansion cables, ensuring it can scale to meet the specific needs of any industry.

Note: While it supports modern fleets with high-fidelity data, please note that it removes some legacy vehicle protocols. For vehicles manufactured prior to the early 2010s, we recommend staying with the GO9B.

Availability

The Next Gen GO is fully backward compatible with existing MyGeotab accounts and follows the same activation process as previous generations. Orders can be placed through MyAdmin starting April 20, 2026. Please contact your Partner or Partner Account Manager to ensure you have the compatible harness for your specific vehicle types.
