Tailgating risk is now available in both MyGeotab and the Geotab Drive app. This data provides specific insights into following distances, complementing existing metrics like speeding, acceleration, braking, and cornering. Tailgating insights are available for assets and drivers on the Collision Risk page in MyGeotab, and as a risk factor in the Safety section of the Geotab Drive app. This update allows you to:

• Identify risk: View tailgating scores by asset or driver to quickly pinpoint specific coaching opportunities.
• Benchmark performance: See how your tailgating risk compares to similar fleets across the industry to better understand your safety standing.

Note: This feature currently utilizes data from ADAS systems and GO Focus cameras and is only available for Heavy Duty and Medium Duty vehicles.

Tailgating is a leading contributor to road incidents, yet it can be difficult to quantify without specialized data.
