About
We will be introducing two major updates to GO Anywhere device configuration to help you better manage asset visibility and hardware longevity. These changes will focus on automating power-intensive features and offering new ways to gather trip data while extending battery life.
High Frequency Update (HFU) is a vital tool when you need to locate and recover a missing asset. However, if a user forgets to turn off this mode after an asset is found, the device continues to consume power at a high rate.
To prevent unnecessary battery drain, HFU will soon automatically turn off after 72 hours of use. This smart default will help to ensure that your devices stay powered for future needs, even if you forget to manually switch the mode back.

We will also be introducing the Movement: Delayed reporting mode to provide a balance between data frequency and battery life. Previously, users had to choose between high-drain movement updates or basic time-based reporting. This new mode collects movement-based insights throughout the day but transmits them as a single update at midnight. This will allow you to receive detailed trip and utilization data while drastically extending the time between charges.

To help every team achieve the best possible performance, all GO Anywhere devices will soon default to the Movement: Delayed mode. If you are currently using legacy reporting modes, the platform will display a notification to let you know your settings are outdated.
These updates are scheduled to roll out globally during the second half of February 2026.
