Starting August 10, 2026, MyGeotab is replacing the term Exceptions with Events to better align with standard industry language and prepare for future AI and video features. Fleet administrators and fleet managers now work with consistent, industry-standard language across every view, report, and workflow in MyGeotab. The terminology is changing, not the functionality.

What is and isn't changing

Your existing setup remains completely intact, and only the names are changing.

  • What changes: Screen labels, menu items, headings, report titles and columns, notifications, automated email reports, and help documentation.
  • What is staying the same: Your existing setup remains completely intact. All automated rules, background settings, reports, system connections, and the Drive App will continue to function smoothly exactly as they do today.

We will provice additional reminders ahead of August 10, 2026.
