About
We are committed to ensuring that every user, whether a seasoned pro or a new fleet manager, can extract immediate value from their data. To support this, the enhanced MyGeotab Exceptions reporting experience is moving from Beta to General availability.
In the past, generating a report often required a steep learning curve and manual configuration. With the updates to Exceptions reporting, you will no longer encounter a blank screen when navigating to the Exceptions page. Instead, you will see relevant, actionable insights specifically tailored to your fleet's recent activity. This "out-of-the-box" experience minimizes the time spent setting filters and maximizes the time spent taking action.
Focused view on safety events Exceptions reporting now prioritizes high-impact areas with dedicated, interactive tabs for speed, aggressive driving, collisions, and idling. These tabs are located at the top of the Exceptions page for your convenience.
New comparative benchmarking and charting
Understanding the "big picture" is now easier with the introduction of built-in charting and benchmarking tools. Exception events are now accompanied by dynamic bar, line, and stacked bar charts that visualize your data instantly. You can easily benchmark the performance of individual drivers, assets, or groups against one another to identify outliers and systemic trends that impact your bottom line.

Streamlined investigation workflow We’ve redesigned the end-to-end interface to minimize friction during incident investigations. If you need to address a driver complaint or a safety event, the new workflow allows you to move swiftly from a high-level overview down to specific event details. This accelerated process reduces administrative overhead and helps resolve issues in moments rather than hours.
High-performance architecture To support fleets of all sizes, we have deployed a new, scalable technical backend. This upgrade guarantees faster load times and smooth filtering, even when managing large data sets. Whether you are managing five vehicles or five thousand, your team will have immediate access to the information they need without performance bottlenecks.
This feature is moving to General Availability starting April 26, 2026. No user action is required to set up these improvements; simply open the Exceptions page to begin using them.
