Installation pending changes
The Installation Pending Changes feature helps fleet managers approve changes made during a device installation, swap, removal, or service.
This feature shows suggested updates from recent installation work. When an installer records asset information and submits a check, it appears here for your final review.
This gives you a centralized place to approve these changes before they are formally applied to your asset records. You can:
Approve Asset Detail Updates: Accept changes to an asset's name, license plate, or VIN.
Automate Device Swaps: Easily replace an old device's serial number with a new one while keeping the vehicle's history.
Streamline Device Removals: Unplug and archive an old device record when it's been removed from a vehicle.
This feature puts you in control of the final record, saves you time, and helps you keep accurate records of your vehicles.
You can find the Installation Pending Changes feature by navigating to Assets in the main menu and selecting . The page shows a table of all pending changes from the last 90 days. Older records expire and are removed after 90 days. Each row is a single task done by an installer.
The Type column in the table tells you what kind of work was done:
New installation / Installation (public): A new device was put in a vehicle.
Removal: A device was taken out of a vehicle. Accepting this will archive the old device.
Swap: An old device was replaced with a new one in the same asset. Accepting a swap archives the old device and associates the new device with the asset. This helps keep your historical data complete.
Service: A repair or check was done. This is often used for updating asset information like its name, license plate, or VIN.
