Passwords

MyGeotab enforces password requirements to help keep your database secure.

Your password is set when you log into MyGeotab for the first time. If you forget your password, you can request a password reset email from the login page, or an administrator can manually reset your password and send the email on your behalf.

Administrators can also manually change user passwords. Geotab does not recommend this solution for security reasons, and provides it only as a last resort.

Passwords in MyGeotab are required to meet the following standards:
  • Be at least 12 characters

  • Have at least one lowercase and one uppercase letter

  • Have at least one number

  • Have at least one special character

  • Not contain emails or phone numbers
