Ace V3 permissions and data security
See what Ace V3 can access and how it uses your data.
Ace V3 uses your MyGeotab user account for its work. It doesn't have a separate login and doesn't give you access to more data than your account can already access. Refer to Ace V3 access requirements.
What Ace can see
Ace shows data only for the assets, drivers, and groups your account can access.
If your account can access only some groups, Ace answers only about assets and drivers in those groups.
Ace checks your security clearance each time you use it. If an Administrator changes your clearance, the change applies to your next request.
Information about users, groups, and permissions can be briefly out of date in Ace. Check current data in MyGeotab before making a time-sensitive decision.
What Ace can do
Ace makes changes using your user account, and MyGeotab applies your security clearance to each change.
If your account can't make a change in MyGeotab, Ace can't make that change for you.
Every change waits for your approval. If you deny a change, Ace doesn't make it or try again.
If a proposed change differs from the change you approved, it doesn't run.
How Ace uses your data
To answer a question, Ace sends the question and related fleet data to large language models (LLMs) that Geotab uses under enterprise agreements. Geotab doesn't use your data to train AI models or share it with third parties. Data is processed under the Geotab Privacy Policy.
