Using Ace V2

Learn how to ask questions and review answers in Ace V2.

Use the Ace icon in the top toolbar to open Ace V2 and ask questions about your fleet.

Ace understands other languages and responds in the language of your question.

  1. Select the Ace icon in the top toolbar.

  2. Enter a question in the Ask your question here field.
  3. To use a suggested question or category, select it, then press Enter or select Send.

  4. To add an entity from your database, type @ and search for its name. Select the name from the dropdown list to add it to your question.

  5. Wait for Ace to answer. Response times average 10 to 60 seconds, depending on question complexity.
  6. After Ace answers, select Copy, Download CSV, or Show SQL.

  7. To continue the same topic, ask a follow-up question. To start a new topic, select the blue icon in the top toolbar.

  8. To view previous chats, select History. Ace can use earlier interactions to follow the conversation.
  9. To provide feedback on an answer, select the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icon.

Next steps: If you have an issue, review these common cases:

  • No response: Try again. If the issue continues, rephrase the question using the Geotab Ace Prompt Guide.

  • Access denied: Your account may not have the required role or permissions. Review Ace V2 access requirements.

  • Empty data frame: No data is available to answer the question. For example, a vehicle with no active fault has no fault data to return.
