Quick start guide for adding and mounting the GO Anywhere Tag.

The GO Anywhere Tag is a Geotab Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacon for tracking small and non-powered assets.

In the box

Verify that your GO Anywhere Tag package includes all required components before beginning installation.

    The GO Anywhere Tag unit with a QR code

  • Double-sided adhesive pad (1)

    A 3M adhesive pad

Installation prerequisites

Complete these steps before installing the GO Anywhere Tag to ensure a successful installation.

  1. Confirm Bluetooth coverage

    The GO Anywhere Tag is detected by Geotab's extended partner network in most areas. In low-coverage areas, a Bluetooth-enabled Geotab device must be installed nearby.

  2. Record the GO Anywhere Tag serial number and MAC address

    Both are printed on the GO Anywhere Tag.

  3. Add to MyGeotab

    Have the customer add the GO Anywhere Tag using its serial number and MAC address. For instructions, see Adding Bluetooth beacons in MyGeotab.

  4. Verify package contents

    Verify that the package includes all items listed in the box.

Installing the GO Anywhere Tag

Learn how to install the GO Anywhere Tag.

1. Choose a mounting method

Attach the GO Anywhere Tag to equipment, tools, or non-powered trailers using double-sided adhesive pads or screws up to 4.5 mm in diameter.

Note: Screws are not included.

2. Attach the GO Anywhere Tag

  • For adhesive mounting, apply the pads to a clean, dry, flat surface and press the GO Anywhere Tag firmly into place.

  • For screw mounting, secure the GO Anywhere Tag to the asset with the selected screws.

Warnings and important safety information

Read these warnings before installing the GO Anywhere Tag.

Warning:

Keep the GO Anywhere Tag away from children. This device contains a coin cell battery. If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention.

Warning:

Do not attempt to open and disassemble, or modify the device. The battery is user-replaceable but must be replaced with an identical CR2477 cell only.

Warning:

Do not expose the device beyond its rated IP67 protection or operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C. Operating outside rated conditions may damage the device and void the warranty.
