GO Anywhere Mini-Tag Quick Start Guide

Quick start guide for adding and mounting the GO Anywhere Mini-Tag.

The GO Anywhere Mini-Tag is a compact, lightweight Geotab Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacon for tracking small assets, tools, and personal equipment.

In the box

Verify that your GO Anywhere Mini-Tag package includes all required components before beginning installation.

  • Double-sided adhesive pad (1)

    A 3M adhesive pad

Installation prerequisites

Complete these steps before installing the GO Anywhere Mini-Tag to ensure a successful installation.

  1. Confirm Bluetooth coverage

    The GO Anywhere Mini-Tag is detected by Geotab's extended partner network in most areas. In low-coverage areas, a Bluetooth-enabled Geotab device must be installed nearby.

  2. Record the GO Anywhere Mini-Tag serial number and MAC address

    Both are printed on the GO Anywhere Mini-Tag.

  3. Add to MyGeotab

    Have the customer add the GO Anywhere Mini-Tag using its serial number and MAC address. For instructions, see Adding Bluetooth beacons in MyGeotab.

  4. Verify package contents

    Verify that the package includes all items listed in the box.

Installing the GO Anywhere Mini-Tag

Learn how to install the GO Anywhere Mini-Tag.

1. Choose a mounting method

Attach the GO Anywhere Mini-Tag to small assets, tools, or personal equipment using the built-in keychain loop or double-sided adhesive pads.

Note: Screw mounting is not supported.

2. Attach the GO Anywhere Mini-Tag

  • For keychain mounting, attach the loop to a suitable point on the asset, tool, or equipment.

  • For adhesive mounting, apply the pads to a clean, dry, flat surface and press the GO Anywhere Mini-Tag firmly into place.

Warnings and important safety information

Read these warnings before installing the GO Anywhere Mini-Tag.

Warning:

Keep the GO Anywhere Mini-Tag away from children. This device contains a CR2032 coin cell battery. If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention.

Warning:

Do not attempt to open and disassemble, or modify the device. The battery is user-replaceable but must be replaced with an identical CR2032 coin cell only.

Warning:

Do not expose the device beyond its operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C. Operating outside rated conditions may damage the device and void the warranty.
