Learn how to set up GO9+ Wi-Fi and choose when it turns off.

Geotab's GO9+ telematics device delivers an in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot to connect tablets, phones, and other Wi-Fi capable devices. Stay connected to your drivers at all times and improve your fleet functions.

Note:

Wi-Fi functionality is not available on the GP9-LTETENG version of the GO9+.

Checking GO9+ hotspot prerequisites

Check the device, software, and plan before using GO9+ Wi-Fi.

To use the GO9+ Wi-Fi hotspot, ensure these prerequisites are met:

  1. Check that the MyGeotab database is on the latest version of the software.

To check the version of MyGeotab, in the main menu, navigate to ERROR - unresolved reference (varsGoDeviceReuse). The version is listed at the top of the page.

  2. Ensure the device is connected, communicating, and is on either the GO Plan or the ProPlus + Wi-Fi rate plan.

To check the device rate plan:

    1. Go to the Assets page in the MyGeotab main menu.
    2. Search for the asset to check and then click its name in the Asset column of the table.
    3. On the Asset Edit page, click the ERROR - unresolved reference (varsGoDeviceReuse) tab.

The rate plan is in the Primary Device section.

Configuring GO9+ hotspot duration

Set how long GO9+ Wi-Fi stays on after the vehicle turns off.

Note:
