Identifying GO RUGGED devices in MyGeotab

Use an asset report to check the device type, or ask Support for help.

Before you begin: Ensure the required MyGeotab permissions are available. If access is limited, contact the Administrator or the authorized Partner that supplied the devices.

Assets with GO RUGGED devices are listed on the same Assets page as assets with standard GO device hardware.

  1. Go to Assets.
  2. Click Download, then select either the Standard or Advanced report.
  3. Open the report.
  4. Locate the Firmware Version column (Column S).

GO7 RUGGED devices have firmware versions starting with "110," and GO8 RUGGED devices have firmware versions starting with "117."

Next steps: There is currently no public method in the MyGeotab database to identify GO9 RUGGED devices. Contact Geotab Support for help.
