Differences between GO8 and GO8 RUGGED

Learn how GO8 RUGGED differs from GO8 in engine support and driver feedback.

Engine communication

The GO8 RUGGED does not support single-wire CAN or medium-speed CAN.

Single-wire CAN can limit seat belt and odometer data on some GM, Fiat, and Dodge vehicles.

Medium-speed CAN can limit seat belt data on Ford Transit and Mazda vehicles.

Buzzer and other IOX Add-Ons

The GO8 RUGGED has no internal buzzer because it is designed for external environments. Use an IOX-BUZZ or IOX-GOTALK for driver feedback. An HRN-RX06S4 is required to connect an IOX.
