Driving lock screen

Details about the lock screen in Geotab Drive.

If the vehicle moves faster than 5 mph/8 kph while you are logged into Geotab Drive, the app screen locks automatically. All other information is hidden, and you only see the remaining driving time available. While the vehicle is moving, the app does not allow a co-driver to switch seats with the driver.

If the vehicle is stopped for 5 minutes, a prompt is shown on the screen asking you to confirm if your status should change to ON, or stay in D (driving) status. If you don't confirm within 1 minute, an ON duty status log is automatically created.

Note: For some Canadian rulesets, drivers cannot exit the lock screen while the vehicle is moving.

Finally, the app sends you notifications as you approach a violation: 2 hours before the violation; 1 hour before; 30 minutes before; and just before the violation.
