Purpose and overview

Explains the purpose of Geotab Drive and provides an overview of what the app can do.

Geotab Drive is a mobile app for drivers that use Geotab telematics. It allows drivers to perform various tasks related to commercial driving. The app is available on Android and iOS devices.

For drivers that record Hours of Service (HOS), Geotab Drive is used together with an Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and the Fleet Management Application to comply with federal regulations.

The Drive App has six main features:

  • Managing assets (vehicles, trailers, and cargo)

  • Recording Hours of Service (HOS)

  • Performing asset inspections

  • Displaying info during roadside checks

  • Messaging

  • Support for software Add-Ins
