Zero-Latency Monitor safety information

Read these notices and warnings before you install or use the Zero-Latency Monitor.

Important notices

  • Clean the screen with a soft cloth and a neutral cleaner. A hard cloth, alcohol, or other solvents can scratch the panel.

  • Do not touch the screen with hard objects.

  • The monitor contains high-precision components. Do not remove the cover or adjust any internal components without authorization. If the monitor needs repair, contact the place of purchase.

  • Avoid strong impacts, which can damage the mechanical parts.

  • If the temperature inside the vehicle is very high or very low, bring the cabin to a moderate temperature before you use the monitor.

  • The illustrations in this guide are for clarity. The interface on your monitor can differ slightly, and some illustrated screens might not match what your monitor displays.

  • Use the monitor as this guide describes.

Safety warnings

  • Install the monitor only in vehicles with a supply voltage of 10 V to 36 V.

  • Do not mount the monitor where it blocks the driver's view or interferes with driving.

  • Do not operate the monitor while driving. Driver distraction can cause accidents. If you need to operate the monitor, park the vehicle in a safe place.

  • Do not expose the monitor to excessive humidity or water. Moisture can cause a short circuit, which can lead to a fire or other damage.

  • Stop using the monitor immediately if there is no sound or image, if water or small objects get inside it, or if you notice smoke or an unusual odor. Contact the place of purchase. Continued use can cause a fire or other accidents.

  • While driving, keep the volume at a level that lets you hear sounds outside the vehicle.

Installing the Zero-Latency Monitor

Mount the Zero-Latency Monitor on a flat surface and adjust the display angle.

Before you install the monitor, keep the following in mind:

  • Mount the display on a flat surface that can support more than 4 kg.

  • Do not mount the display where it blocks the driver's view or interferes with driving.

  • Keep the display away from vehicle microphone equipment, which can interfere with the screen.

  • Do not mount the display in places that are very hot, humid (such as near radiators), dusty, prone to vibration, or in direct sunlight.

  • The display is not waterproof.

  1. Secure the bracket to a flat surface.
  2. Adjust the angle of the display, and then tighten the screws.

Using the Zero-Latency Monitor

Learn how to power on the Zero-Latency Monitor and use its main screen, digital inputs, and other built-in behavior.

Powering on

When you power on the monitor, the power indicator turns red. Startup takes about 15 seconds. After startup, the monitor shows the split-screen view. The default is the four-way split.

Using the main screen

  • Tap the video screen to show the quick access toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

  • Tap the gear icon on the quick access toolbar to open the settings screen. If you don't use the menu for 10 seconds, the settings screen closes automatically.

  • Tap a camera view to show that channel in full screen. Tap the screen again to return to the split-screen view.

  • When a channel has no video signal, its view turns blue and shows "No Signal" in the center.

Switching views with digital inputs

The monitor has four digital inputs. When you connect an input to a vehicle signal that supplies 12 V or 24 V, the monitor shows the cameras linked to that input in full screen. Any signal that supplies vehicle power can act as the trigger, so you are not limited to one vehicle function.

For example, if the rear camera is connected to TVI input 1, connect digital input 1 to the reverse light. When the vehicle reverses, the monitor shows the rear camera in full screen. When the vehicle returns to a forward gear, the monitor returns to the split-screen view. The same approach applies to other vehicle signals, such as a turn signal.

When a digital input is active, the monitor displays that channel in full screen:

You can't operate the screen while it displays a triggered view. When the signal stops, the monitor returns to the previous view.

Setting the reversing lines

  1. Switch to the Channel 1 view. The monitor displays the reversing lines and a reversing line settings icon. The icon is on the left side of the screen.

  2. Tap the settings icon. A settings screen opens with parameters on the right side.

  3. Use the minus and plus buttons to adjust the reversing lines. The parameters are X-axis, Y-axis, Overlooking, Top width, Bottom width, RYG-ratio, and Red Ruler.

Behavior when accessory (ACC) power is disconnected

When accessory (ACC) power is disconnected, the monitor becomes inactive. After 70 seconds, it shows "ACC out, shut down soon!" and the screen goes black. When ACC power is reconnected, the monitor starts and displays the camera image.

Day and Night mode

The monitor detects ambient light with a light sensor. It switches to Day mode in daylight and to Night mode at night.

Screen on and off button

Press the button in the bottom-right corner of the device once to turn the screen off. Press it again to turn the screen on.
