Introduction
This document outlines the setup process required to systematically import WEX and EFS fuel card transactions into a MyGeotab database.
! IMPORTANT:
- Geotab currently does not support T-Chek platform accounts. This may include Wex Canada fuel cards, and/or Canadian FMC co-branded fuel cards with Wex.
- Clients must work directly with their WEX or EFS Account Manager to have their account added to the daily data feed with Geotab.
- Geotab currently supports fuel cards directly on the WEX NA Fleet or EFS platform in the USA. We are able to support limited variations of WEX Canada cards. Work with your Account Representative on the fuel card provider side to verify whether your Canadian card is supported as part of the WEX NA Fleet or EFS infrastructure.
WEX setup process
This section outlines the process of adding WEX fuel transactions into a database. This process only applies for WEX fuel cards in the United States. EFS customers, refer to the EFS setup process section.
Request to add transaction to the Geotab file
- Contact WEX at 800-492-0669 or reach out to the WEX account representative to have the WEX account information added to the Geotab SFTP file.
- Ask your Account Manager to make a copy of the Data Exchange Agreement form template. Then submit with your Account Manager or via CSWEXLINK@wexinc.com
- Register VINs for each card with WEX.
✱ NOTE: If the VINs are not associated with the card numbers, then the transactions will not be matched with the correct vehicle. This is the most common reason for mismatched and not assigned fuel transactions.
Enter Account ID on the Fuel Transactions page
! IMPORTANT: You may complete your fuel card integration setup in the Fuel Transactions page after completing Step 1. Disregard steps 2 and 3 if you have enabled the Fuel Transactions feature under Beta Features.
! IMPORTANT: Some fuel cards may not be supported by the standard integration. For confirmation, reach out to your fuel card provider to verify whether they have a supported integration with Geotab for your product.
Once you have completed the steps listed on the above setup documents, navigate to Fuel and Energy on the left-hand menu, click Fuel Transactions, and then select Fuel card integration to enter your account number and choose the appropriate provider.

Allow a few days for the data to populate onto the page. If the data is not populating after this period, check with your provider to ensure the data is being shared with Geotab and confirm your account number.
EFS setup process
This section outlines the process of adding EFS fuel transactions into a database. This process currently only works for EFS fuel cards in the United States.
Request to add transaction to the Geotab file
Refer to the Data Sharing Preferences user instructions from EFS in order to enable data sharing with Geotab. If you do not have the option to share through your eManager account, you can reach the EFS Customer Service directly at 1-888-824-7378.
Also, make sure to register VINs for each card with EFS.
✱ NOTE: If the VINs are not associated with the card numbers, then the transactions will not be matched with the correct asset. This is the most common reason for ‘not assigned’ fuel transactions.
Enter Account ID on the Fuel Transactions page
